Vivian Maier's photos do not only make time stood still for the moment captured by her but they even make time disappeared. i feel no difference between us even though it's more than half a century away. the way she took her own self portraits, the looks in the people's eyes, the body languages... i see similarities between people in that era and people nowadays. or i should say, she was way ahead of her era.
"well i suppose nothing is meant to last forever. we have to make room for other people. it's a wheel. you get on you have to go to the end. and then somebody has the same opportunity to go the the end and so on. and somebody else takes their place."
through her photographs, i see "the wheel".
*kuan, thanks so much for sharing such inspiration with me!
